Wooden deck for a model of the light cruiser Chungking, shaped for the Flyhawk kit with the manufacturer's part number 1111.
Responsibility details are not available.
The subject is a light cruiser that carried the name Chungking. Models of light cruisers have a good deal of open deck area between the turrets, the superstructure and the boat decks, so the surface of the deck shows more on them than on ships with extensive superstructures.
The set is a wooden deck part cut for the kit from the maker Flyhawk with the manufacturer's part number 1111. The outlines follow that kit and cannot be carried over to models of other brands. The material is wood, so the tone and the texture of the surface come from the part itself, not from a spray coat.
Lay the part on dry first and check how it comes out around the turrets and superstructures; any correction is easier now than once it is fixed down. Clean and degrease the plastic deck. Look up the glue and the procedure in the manufacturer's instructions and use it sparingly, because any excess soaks through the wood to the face and stays visible. Lay the part from one edge and press it down gradually, so that no air is left underneath. Trim the overhang with a sharp blade a little away from the edge and sand the remainder gently.
For the modeler who is building this particular kit and wants the deck to be the material itself. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
