F-4 Phantom II 1:72 BASIC masking set - New Ware

A set of masks from the Czech manufacturer New Ware intended for F-4 Phantom II models in 1:72 scale. The masks are machine cut from thin kabuki masking tape (yellow Japanese washi), which follows the shape of the frames well, holds a sharp paint edge and leaves no adhesive residue when taken off. The BASIC level covers exterior masking of the glazing and the wheels.

What the mask set contains

• masks for the outside of the glazed cockpit and the canopy frames
• masks for the other clear parts (position lights, landing lights according to the type)
• masks for the wheels - the tires and the rims separately

Use and tips

Degrease the surface and remove dust before applying them. Lift the mask carefully off the sheet, place it on the part and press the edges down carefully, so that paint cannot creep underneath. Spray in thin coats; take the mask off shortly after the paint has dried, ideally before it fully hardens, so that the edge stays sharp.
