PLA Navy Type 21 Class Missile Boat is a large plastic kit of the Chinese missile boat in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Merit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This large injection-molded plastic kit captures the Chinese missile boat of the Type 21 class in 1:72 scale. Thanks to the scale the finished model is very long and offers richly broken-up superstructure, a radar mast, rotating gun turrets and detachable missiles. The package holds photo-etched parts, a metal chain, brass wire and decals for several boats. Paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
Type 21 is a Chinese missile patrol boat that follows on from the concept of the Soviet missile boats of the Osa class. These were small, fast craft armed with anti-ship missiles, intended for coastal defense and quick strikes. The compact hull carried a radar, a gun armament and missile canisters.
Given the size and the part count, this is a build for more advanced modelers. Glue the parts with a thin cement for plastic, and the photo-etched and metal items with super glue. We recommend a primer and an airbrush; the deck detail and the superstructure will stand out after a wash and dry brushing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
