1:72 RF-101A Voodoo EXPERT kabuki masks

New Ware RF-101A Voodoo EXPERT 1:72 painting masks

The most complete set of accurate self-adhesive masks of thin washi (kabuki) tape from New Ware. Besides masking the canopy on the outside, the EXPERT level takes in the inner faces of the glazing, the wheels and the small features. The material follows the shape of the parts exactly, holds on the engraved edges and leaves no adhesive residue once lifted.

The real subject

The RF-101A was an unarmed supersonic photo-reconnaissance aircraft derived from the McDonnell F-101 Voodoo fighter. It became the first supersonic photo-reconnaissance machine and made its name with reconnaissance sorties over Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis and with its service in Vietnam.

Use

• The inner and outer canopy masks let you spray the frames from both sides of the glazing.
• Clean and degrease the parts before sticking the masks on, and move the masks with tweezers.
• Spray in thin coats and lift the masks off shortly after the paint has dried.
• The circular wheel masks make a clean separation of tire from rim easier.

Who the set is for

For demanding modelers who want a canopy handled perfectly from both sides and a cleanly unmasked wheel, and who will appreciate the most complete extent of the EXPERT level.

These are painting masks, not a model. The paints, the glue and the kit are not included in the package.
