The Camcopter S-100 from the Austrian company Schiebel is an unmanned helicopter (UAV) intended for reconnaissance, patrol and monitoring. Thanks to its compact dimensions and its ability to take off and land automatically it operates from the decks of ships as well as from ground sites; under the fuselage it carries camera and sensor equipment. It serves with many navies, coast guards and civilian operators around the world and is among the most widespread machines of its category.
Wash the resin parts in warm soapy water to remove any mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand them down - protect your airways while sanding. Join the parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Watch out for the fine rotor blades and small antennas, and glue them on only at the end of the build. Choose the finish according to photographs of a particular operator; a fine wash will pick out the divisions of the small fuselage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
