This photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard is meant for the detailed sharpening up of the landing gear of a plastic model of the Curtiss SB2C Helldiver carrier-based dive bomber in 1:72 scale. It is not a model or a kit, but an accessory that adds fine metal elements inside the landing gear bays and onto the gear legs and doors, that is exactly where the plastic parts offer only limited detail.
The Curtiss SB2C Helldiver was an American carrier-based dive bomber flown in the Pacific in the closing stage of the Second World War. It replaced older types and became one of the main strike aircraft of the American carriers.
Separate the small photo-etched parts with a sharp knife and make the bends with tweezers or a bending tool. Use super glue (cyanoacrylate) to bond metal to plastic. Degrease the landing gear bay and the parts before assembly, spray on a primer and paint afterwards.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
