Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the British Twin Pioneer light transport aircraft in the CC.1 version of the Royal Air Force, in the form of machines deployed in the area of southwest Asia. The kit is made by the Czech firm Valom using short-run technology.
The Twin Pioneer from the Scottish firm Scottish Aviation was designed for operating where ordinary transport aircraft could not reach: the twin-engine high-wing monoplane with fixed landing gear excelled at extremely short take-offs and landings. The Royal Air Force used the CC.1 version from the late 1950s to supply remote posts, carry troops and fly liaison sorties, among other places during operations in the Middle East and in Malaya, where it landed on improvised strips in desert and jungle alike.
A short-run kit calls for careful fitting: try the parts dry, sand the mating surfaces and fill the joints. Glue the wing struts according to the drawing and check the geometry as you go. Mask the extensive cabin glazing before spraying. Desert schemes are nicely brought to life by lightening the upper surfaces and by a fine dust wash on the landing gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
