A plastic kit of the Tiger I heavy tank (Sd.Kfz.181, Pz.Kpfw.VI Ausf.E) in 1:72 scale. The boxing captures the machines of the Gruppe Fehrmann battle group of the very end of the war. Besides the injection-molded plastic, the box also contains photo-etched parts and steel tow cable.
Gruppe Fehrmann was an improvised unit put together in the last weeks of the Second World War; its Tigers fought on the Western Front in the area of the Ruhr Pocket. The vehicles carried a prominent letter F on the turret and combined features of early and late production, an early turret on a later hull for instance.
This is a small scale with fine parts, so glue the photo-etched elements with cyanoacrylate glue and the plastic with ordinary modeling cement. Apply primer before painting, spray the base camouflage with an airbrush and build the weathering up with washes and pigments (mud and dust effects on the running gear). It is a good idea to finish the running gear before fitting the fenders.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
