A pre-painted photo-etched instrument panel for the Short Stirling Mk.IV in 1:72 scale from Yahu Models. It is not a model but a finished colored cockpit accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a pre-painted photo-etched instrument panel set in 1:72 scale from Yahu Models. It is not an aircraft kit but a finished colored cockpit accessory, which replaces the plastic instrument panel from the box. The panel is built up from several laminated etched layers into a three-dimensional relief, and the dials are painted at the factory and coated with a gloss varnish imitating the glass of the gauges. The set is intended for the plastic Stirling Mk.IV model from Italeri.
It replaces the flat plastic instrument panel and gives the roomy cockpit of the four-engine bomber fine, faithful detail without laborious painting of the gauges. The panel is degreased, shaped a little if necessary and glued in with cyanoacrylate glue.
The Short Stirling was the first British four-engine heavy bomber of the Second World War, brought into service in 1941. Because of its short wingspan it had a lower ceiling, but a large bomb bay. The Mk.IV version was converted for special duties, glider towing and airborne drops, with the turrets removed.
This is an accessory (a photo-etched instrument panel), not an aircraft model. The base kit and glue are not included in the package.
