An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Hawker Tempest F.2 fighter in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Kovozavody Prostejov. The Silver Wings edition focuses on postwar machines in striking silver finishes with RAF units. The package contains gray and clear plastic parts, a decal sheet and color instructions.
The Tempest F.2 (Mk.II) was powered by the air-cooled Bristol Centaurus radial engine. The aircraft found its place in postwar RAF service, where it also served at bases overseas. It was among the most capable British piston fighters and its robust shapes in a glossy finish look very striking.
Use thin cement for plastic and clean the parts up gently. Silver postwar finishes are demanding, because they bring out every seam and unevenness, so fill and sand very carefully. Stir the metallic paint thoroughly and lay it onto a smooth base with an airbrush, ideally as one of the last layers.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
