About product

Tow cable for the Sd.Kfz.184 Elefant in 1:72 scale (Eureka XXL)

This is not a kit of the vehicle but a detail accessory. The set contains fine copper wire rope and resin end eyes for making up a realistic tow cable for a model of the Sd.Kfz.184 Elefant heavy tank destroyer in the small 1:72 scale.

The real subject

The Elefant was the upgraded version of the German Ferdinand heavy tank destroyer (Sd.Kfz.184); the vehicles received among other things a hull machine gun and a commander's cupola. They carried robust steel tow cables for recovery.

Fitting and painting

In 1:72 scale work with tweezers and a sharp knife. Cut the wire rope, slide it into the resin eyes and secure it with super glue; wash the resin beforehand. Tone the cable with a dark steel color.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers building the Sd.Kfz.184 Elefant in 1:72 scale
  • Those interested in fine detail at a small scale
  • Builders of dioramas with German vehicles

This is an accessory, not a model. The basic kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
