Color-printed seat belts for the cockpits of models of American fighter aircraft in 1:72 scale, with the straps in the green guise. It is not a model but an interior accessory printed on decal paper. It differs from the basic variant of the same range precisely in the coloring of the straps, and the manufacturer carries both alongside each other. American fighter aircraft of World War II used a restraint system with a lap belt and shoulder straps converging into a central buckle. The fabric of the straps differed according to manufacturer and period – alongside lighter guises, straps in green shades also appeared. For a modeler that means the choice of variant shapes the overall impression of the cockpit, which is clearly visible on a model with a slid-back canopy.
Spray the seat with a base color and go over it with gloss varnish. Cut the belt out tightly, soak it in warm water for a few seconds and transfer it into place. Lay it down with a soft brush, fine-tune the shape with decal softener and let it dry. Green straps come out nicely against a darker interior, so at the end a matte varnish and light lifting of the edges with a dry brush are enough.
The package holds only the belts. The model, paints and varnishes are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
