A resin diorama accessory in 1:72 scale from MIG Productions. The wall section is divided here into two parts, so that it can be fitted with a gap or glued into a single whole. It is not a vehicle model and not a finished building, but an add-on element of a modular system that is complemented with further sections of the same line.
A divided part gives a modeler a freer hand when putting a scene together. Glued together they form a continuous wall, set apart they suggest a passage, an entrance or a break in the frontage, and placed at an angle they become the corner of an object. In combat and rubble scenes they also suit the suggestion of a breached wall into which rubble and exposed masonry are added. The section is combined with standard wall parts, with added-height sections, with pillars and with the roof part, so that the resulting object can be put together to fit the base.
First wash the resin parts with lukewarm water and dish soap to remove the mold release agent from the mold. Cut the sprue gates and the casting blocks off with a saw and level the mating surfaces on abrasive paper, wet and with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, and on larger joints two-part epoxy is more reliable; fill the gaps and roughen them so that the transition fits into the structure of the masonry. After spraying a primer, a base shade with an airbrush works well, together with the lightening of the surfaces with a dry brush, a dark wash in the joints and finally pigments for dust, lime efflorescence and dirt at the base of the wall.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base diorama board are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
