This item is a masking aid, not a decal and not a kit. The Balkenkreuz is the bar cross that served as the national insignia of the German armed forces in the years 1935 to 1945; the manufacturer sells its shape variants separately and this sheet matches variant 3. The masks are cut accurately from a self-adhesive film, so the insignia is created by spraying paint and becomes a direct part of the paint layer of the model.
The most common mistake is too heavy a coat of paint all at once — a high edge is formed that can be felt as well as seen once the film is taken off. Several light passes with an airbrush are better. If you are spraying a light insignia onto a dark base, start with a thin covering undercoat and only then add the target shade. Once finished, let the paint cure properly before you go on to matte or weather the model; a sprayed insignia takes a wash and pigments better than a decal does.
The sheet is not tied to one particular scale; it is a universal one. Compare the sizes of the insignia with your model. Paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
