Painting masks for the Messerschmitt Bf 109 E-4 in 1:32 scale from the maker Artillery models. This is not a kit but an accessory that makes spraying the frames and other areas quicker and more precise.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive painting masks for a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 in the E-4 version in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft model and not a part of one but an aid to painting: the masks are stuck onto the relevant places, the area is sprayed and the mask is removed once dry. That saves hours of cutting tape by hand and above all gives precise and repeatable shapes that are practically impossible to achieve with a brush.
Masking the glazing by hand is the most time-consuming part of a build in 1:32 scale and at the same time the one where every deviation is most visible. Pre-cut masks are cut exactly to shape, hold to the surface and leave no adhesive residue once removed, provided you do not leave them on the model too long.
The surface under the mask has to be clean, degreased and smooth. Lay the mask down with tweezers and press it along its edge with a toothpick or a wooden stick. Spray the paint in thin coats perpendicular to the surface, because a heavy coat runs under the edge and creates a step. It pays to spray the interior color of the cockpit first and the exterior shade only afterwards. Remove the mask shortly after the finish dries, lifting a corner with the tip of a scalpel, and never tear it across the edge of a fresh coat.
This is an accessory for painting, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
