Aoshima 1:24 Toyota Crown GRS210-AETRH - police patrol car is a plastic kit of the Japanese police sedan.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic car kit in 1:24 scale from the Japanese maker Aoshima. The model depicts the Toyota Crown of the S210 series in patrol car specification with the designation GRS210-AETRH. Aoshima releases several patrol Crowns, including further generations and prefectural versions, so tell them apart by the type designation and the model year in the name.
Japanese patrol cars are based on production sedans and the Crown is a classic among them: it has enough room, power and comfort for long shifts. Anyone recognizes the police version by the black and white scheme with the upper part of the body in white, by the roof light bar and by the markings of the relevant prefectural force. It is precisely the combination of an ordinary sedan and a striking scheme that makes these cars a rewarding modeling subject: the model is visible from the other side of the room and yet stands on a completely ordinary body. The S210 generation was built from the early 2010s.
Spray the two-tone scheme rather than relying on decals alone; the white goes on over primer in thin coats so that it does not yellow and does not bury the edges. Mask the dividing line with good tape and go over its edge with the base color so that nothing creeps under the tape. Lettering decals belong on a cured gloss coat and are completed with a decal softener. The light bar and the beacons show to advantage if you back the clear parts with silver paint. The interior of police cars tends to have extra fittings, and the particular contents of the package are given in the instructions.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
