1:1000 T-S 81b, code name Na vrchach is a model of a particular structure of the Czechoslovak fortifications in a small scale from the ROP o.s. line.

The model captures one particular structure of the Czechoslovak border fortifications, listed under the designation T-S 81b with the code name Na vrchach. The letter abbreviation corresponds to the construction sector, the number to the order of the structure within it and the letter suffix tells apart structures entered under the same order number; a structure with the suffix a therefore exists as well. The model is supplied unpainted.
In 1:1000 scale one millimeter on the model corresponds to one meter of the real thing, so a structure with a footprint of a few tens of meters comes out as a model of the order of two to three centimeters. Everything essential follows from that: the shaping is reduced to mass and the main features, and small fittings and railings are not modeled at this size. The advantage is that a whole sector of a defensive line can be put together on one base, which is not realistic in larger scales.
Clean the parts, check the mating surfaces and level any production residue with fine abrasive paper. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts; for resin, cyanoacrylate. Apply the paint in really thin coats, because a heavy coat fills the detail that is suggested. Start the concrete from a light gray base, which you then break up with irregular patches of a slightly darker and lighter tone; send a thin dark wash into the corners and to the foot of the structure, and on the contrary lighten the edges a little with drybrushing. Bear in mind that structures of this type were as a rule set into a slope and banked up, so a model on a base is not meant to stand freely on the level.
The model is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue, terrain materials and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
