Bf-109G-6 3D full-color Instrument Panel 1:32 from the firm Kits-World is a full-color instrument panel with a relief, printed on decal paper and applied with water.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory for a cockpit in 1:32 scale. The panel is printed in color and in layers, so once applied it does not come across as a flat drawing: the instruments have frames with depth and in the gloom of a cockpit they cast a shadow. The application is at the same time as simple as with an ordinary decal, without bending photo-etched parts and gluing metal.
The Messerschmitt Bf-109G-6 is a single-seat fighter aircraft of the Second World War with a liquid-cooled inline engine. The cockpit is fairly tight and the instrument panel takes up a dominant part of the view through the slid-back canopy.
Before you reach for water, hold the cut-out decal against the plastic panel and compare the shape. You will find out whether the outline matches, where molded details stand out and what has to be modified. It pays off to level strongly raised instruments on the plastic carefully with abrasive paper or a scalpel, as a relief decal needs to seat onto a surface, not onto a bumpy base. Only then paint the panel in a dark shade, let it cure and go over it with a clear gloss varnish. Soak the decal briefly in lukewarm water, let it rest, slide it into place and straighten it against the frame. Draw the water off, apply a thin layer of softener and push the air out with a cotton swab from the center toward the edges; otherwise the area will turn gray through silvering. Once it is dry, thin layers of matte varnish come.
An accessory for a model, not a kit. A model, paints and varnishes are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
