The real subject

The A-4 Skyhawk was a compact single-seat jet attack aircraft of the Navy and the Marine Corps, widely deployed in the Vietnam War. The E and F versions were among the widespread variants; the F can be told by the dorsal hump with avionics behind the cockpit. A compact cockpit with a densely populated instrument panel is characteristic of this type.

Application tips

• Clean the cockpit parts and even them out with matte paint.
• Seat the relief decals on the panels and press them gently; a softener will help them wrap around the shape, and the manufacturer asks that it be used sparingly, that the decal not be moved afterward and that it be left at least 45 minutes.
• You will bring the lenses of the dials to life with a drop of gloss varnish.
