A set of American AGM-129 ACM guided missiles in 1:72 scale from Modelcollect is an add-on weapon set for models of strategic bombers, not an aircraft kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic set of AGM-129 guided missiles in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft model but weapon stores that modelers use to fill the bomb bays and the racks of large American bombers. The set also suits dioramas with a storage or preparation scene, where the missiles lie away from the aircraft.
The AGM-129 ACM was an American long-range strategic cruise missile designed with a low radar signature in mind. Its hallmarks are the angular body with flat sides and the forward-swept wings, which unfolded after release. The carrier aircraft was the B-52H strategic bomber. The missile was withdrawn from service in 2012 and among modeling subjects it belongs to the more marginal and all the more interesting ones.
The parts of weapon sets tend to be tiny, so cut them free with nippers and sand the remains of the gates back rather than snapping them off. Check the body and the wings for alignment before gluing, because on a missile every deviation is plain to see. Paint them separately from the aircraft and hang them in place only after the varnish, which saves masking. A restrained dark wash into the separation lines and a light matte coat suit the final step, so that the surface does not reflect more than the model the missiles hang on.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and it is an accessory. The aircraft, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
