A figure of a First World War airman in 1:32 scale, usable with German as well as Austro-Hungarian machines, the manufacturer's part number 320173.
Responsibility details are not available.
An airman of the First World War period. Flying was done in open cockpits, without pressurization and without proper protection from the weather, so the crews wore leather coats, helmets and goggles. The figure is listed so as to serve with German as well as Austro-Hungarian machines, since both air services had similar dress and shared some of their equipment.
A figure in 1:32 scale to complete an aircraft model or a scene at a field airfield. The pose and the number of pieces are given on the manufacturer's packaging. In this scale an adult figure works out at about five and a half centimeters, so even small detail that would be lost in small scales comes into its own.
Wash and degrease the parts before painting, cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little from the figure and sand the remainder back. Lay down a base coat, otherwise the paint holds badly on a smooth surface. Leather dress looks believable when it is not laid on with a flat color: start with a medium brown tone, deepen the folds with a dark glaze and lighten the edges. Suggest the sheen of leather only in the exposed places and leave the rest matte. Paint the face at the end and even the surface out with a matte varnish.
The aircraft model, the paints and the glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
