An extensive resin detail set in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Black Dog. It is not an airplane kit but a comprehensive package of accessories that makes several areas of a model of the EA-6B Prowler more accurate at once, typically the drop tanks, the ordnance or the stores and other external detail. The set is intended for a corresponding plastic kit of the Prowler in the same scale.
The Grumman EA-6B Prowler was a four-seat carrier-borne electronic warfare aircraft derived from the A-6 Intruder ground-attack aircraft. In the service of the US Navy and the Marine Corps it served for decades to suppress hostile air defenses. The rich external configuration with stores and jamming pods is a rewarding subject for a replica fitted out in detail.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut the casting blocks off and clean them up with respiratory protection; glue resin with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Given the extent of the set we recommend assembling and painting the partial assemblies separately and only then putting them together. The basis consists of a primer, matte varnishes and fine weathering with a wash and pigments.
A resin detail accessory supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
