A resin figure in 1:35 from the figure line of the maker PANZER ART. According to the name the pose comes from refueling — that is from a working activity at a vehicle, not from a static stance. That is rewarding for diorama work: the figure is plainly occupied with something and the scene around it gains a point. The number 1 is the sequence marking of the pose within the line.
A working pose means a forward lean, a turned torso and taut arms, so the folds of the clothing run differently than on a standing figure. In the painting that shows mainly on the back and the shoulders, where the cloth is taut and the shadow belongs somewhere else.
A casting of casting resin tends to be divided into several parts because of the undercuts at the arms and the head; the mold seam lines run along the natural edges of the clothing. The material does not bond with cement for plastic. The figure suits a diorama scene with resupply or maintenance at a vehicle in 1:35, or an object to be painted in its own right. Whether the package also contains accessories such as a jerrycan or a hose is to be checked on the box of the figure.
Wash the parts in warm water with dish soap, so that the mold release agent is removed. Cut the casting block off with a saw or a cutting disc, never break it off, and sand the face down; protect your airways while sanding resin. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate), fill the seams and apply a primer. With a working pose, always try the figure dry in the place where you want to seat it — the position of the hands has to sit with the object the figure is working on. Paint in coats: the base, a darker glaze into the folds, a lighter emphasis on the edges. Working clothing takes more pronounced soiling and greasy stains applied in spots with very thinned dark paint. Apply a gloss intermediate coat before the washes and the pigments; a final matte clear coat knocks the gloss down and evens the surface out.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
