A Hataka modeling paint from the Orange Line in the Dunkelgelb nach Muster shade, the German dark yellow. The shade code is HTK-C310.
Responsibility details are not available.
Dunkelgelb nach Muster is the German designation of a dark yellow shade, and the qualifier nach Muster means to sample. Dark yellow served as the base shade of German ground vehicles in the later part of the Second World War, and camouflage patches and stripes were applied over it only afterward. The shade is carried in the Hataka Orange Line under the code HTK-C310.
Its main use is as the base coat on vehicles, artillery and crated equipment, over which camouflage in red-brown and olive green then goes. A subdued yellow-brown suits outside that circle too, however: it serves well on transport crates, jerrycans and equipment, and in mixing it forms a warm base for dusty and faded tones.
Stir the paint thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom when left alone. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer instructions and use the thinner intended for this line. Apply it in several light coats instead of one heavy one, otherwise the detail in the surface will disappear. The real dark yellow differed from one machine to another, so do not hesitate to bring the shade further to life on the model with lighter and darker tones. Work in a well ventilated space and close the container carefully after work.
The thinner, brushes and tools are not included, unless stated otherwise.
