About product

Zvezda 1:100 BM-13 Katyusha: snap-fit kit (Art of Tactic)

A small injection-molded plastic kit from Zvezda that captures the Soviet BM-13 rocket launcher, nicknamed the Katyusha, in 1:100 scale. It belongs to the Art of Tactic series: a snap-fit kit is assembled by clicking the parts together without glue and suits beginners as well as players of tabletop war games.

The real subject

The BM-13 Katyusha was a Soviet multiple rocket launcher mounted on the chassis of a truck. First committed in 1941, it could fire a salvo of rockets within a few seconds and had a powerful destructive and psychological effect.

Building and painting tips

The parts can be put together without glue, but a drop of cement for plastic will make the joint firmer. Spray on primer and a base green color, and bring out the details with a wash. At a small scale work with thin coats of paint, so that the fine details are not flooded.

Who the model is for

  • Players of tabletop war games in 1:100 scale
  • Beginners, thanks to the snap-fit construction
  • Collectors of Soviet equipment
  • Builders of small dioramas

The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
