A collector's model from the production of the Forces of Valor brand. It combines the part of the flight deck of the nuclear aircraft carrier CVN-65 marked with the letter E and the carrier fighter aircraft F-14A Tomcat in the markings of the VF-114 Aardvarks squadron. The model is finished, assembled and painted straight from manufacture, so it goes into a display case right away. The line is divided into several lettered sections, so a collection can be extended gradually.
The CVN-65 was the first nuclear aircraft carrier and its deck is a rewarding subject for collectors to this day. The F-14A Tomcat came about as a two-seat carrier fighter aircraft with a variable-geometry wing, which pivots in flight according to speed. The VF-114 squadron, nicknamed the Aardvarks, was a fighter unit of the Pacific Fleet and operated Tomcats for a number of years, carrying a striking badge on the vertical tail.
A finished model is ready for immediate display, so you look after it rather than build it. A shelf or a display case out of the reach of direct sunlight and away from places with large swings of humidity is ideal. For dust a soft brush is enough, and for fingerprints a dry microfiber cloth. Do not use water, alcohol or technical solvents on the surface. While carrying the model, hold it by the deck plate, as a badly placed grip easily stresses the thin parts of the aircraft.
This is a finished collector's model intended for display, not a kit. We recommend a closed display case away from direct sunlight.
