A set of modeling loudspeakers in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit or a finished model but small equipment with which a model of a vehicle or the scene of a diorama is filled out.
A loudspeaker is a small thing that gives a scene scale and a story: it can hang on a pole, on the wall of a building, on a frame above a platform, or be mounted on a vehicle. You will hardly ever find such equipment in kits, and yet it is exactly these elements that tell a model on a base from a finished scene. The part has a shape that reads well from outside even once painted, and in 1:48 it stays large enough to be refined with shading.
First think out the placement and the height; a loudspeaker belongs where the sound would be aimed in reality, that is over open space. If you mount it on a post or a bracket, make a pin from wire, as the joint will be stronger than gluing butt to butt. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue applied on a pin. Paint it separately from the surface it is fitted onto: primer, the main shade and finally a dark wash into the recesses and fine rubbing of the edges with a drybrush. A light coat of dust pigment suits outdoor elements, as it brings them into line with the scene.
This is an accessory for a build, not a model on its own. The base, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
