An injection-molded plastic kit of the ship of the bounty hunter Boba Fett in 1:85 scale under the MPC brand. The model is built and painted by the ordinary procedures for plastic kits. The glue, the paints and accessories are not included in the package.
The ship is one of the most characteristic machines of the Star Wars series: it has an unusual flat hull in the shape of a broad teardrop and at takeoff it turns into a vertical position, so both the cockpit and the landing gear are worked out for two different modes. It is precisely that unusual geometry that makes it a rewarding model for a display case - it looks different from every angle and also comes out impressively on a stand in a flight attitude.
The model rests on large flat parts, with which it is worth checking the fit dry and filling the joints carefully. The surface of the real subject is scuffed and dirty, so after a base coat layering works: the top shade, a darker wash into the engraved lines, fine scuffing of the edges and finally a matte varnish. Apply the decals on a gloss layer. If you put the model on a stand, think the mounting through before you close the hull up.
