Plastic model of a figure of a member of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force from the World Fighter Collection line.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force is the land component of the armed forces of Japan, built up from the mid-1950s. It differs from the armies that European modelers know not only in its gear and camouflage pattern but also in the overall silhouette of the soldier. That is precisely why a Japanese soldier stands out in a collection of figures and is harder to find than figures from the battlefields of the Second World War.
A figure of a member of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force from the World Fighter Collection line. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the number of parts and the assembly procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions. It suits a display case on its own as well as bringing a scene with machinery to life, because a human figure lends every scene a sense of scale and decides where the viewer should look. Before you place the figure beside a finished model, compare its size with the manufacturer's data.
Try the parts dry first and carefully sand the traces of manufacture down, above all on the edges of the sleeves and the helmet, where they show most. Wash and degrease the figure before painting. The proven procedure is a base coat, then the overall shades of the uniform and finally the face, which is painted separately and in the greatest calm. Bring the details out with a dark wash and a light dry brush. Unify the finished figure with a matte varnish, so that the sheen of the uniform and of the skin does not differ.
Paints, glue, a base and further figures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
