Everything that is neither aircraft, vessel nor armour collects here, and most of it is people. Miniature pilots, deck and ground crews, soldiers and a line of cheerfully spooky characters either populate an egg model or stand on their own as a small piece in a cabinet.
Alongside them sit playful scenery pieces and outright curiosities – the parts that turn a pair of stubby machines into a scene with a joke in it. Because the figures are moulded in the same exaggerated proportions, they read correctly next to a caricature machine and oddly next to a scale one.
Figures and scenery show best against the shortened machines in egg models and cute model kits. Anyone who collects people in honest proportions should look at model figures in the usual modelling scales instead, and the stranger end of the catalogue – architecture, robots, novelties – lives in other plastic model kits.
