The version is given directly in the name, so it is clear which form you are building. The small scale makes the model a compact piece for a display case and it goes well with groups of several aircraft side by side.
The Strikemaster is the combat variant of the Jet Provost T.Mk 5 trainer. It has a cabin with side-by-side seats, a single Rolls-Royce Viper jet engine, strengthened construction and pylons under the wing for bomb and rocket armament. The Mk. numbers distinguish export customers; the Mk.84 version was delivered to the Republic of Singapore Air Force, with which it served for training pilots and for light combat duties. For a modeler that means a less usual allegiance, which will stand out in a display case among the more common European machines.
Work cleanly and with a sharp tool; at this scale every excess of filler wipes out detail. Paint the cabin and close it up early, and mask the clear part. Apply the paints in thin coats, ideally with an airbrush, so the model does not lose the sharpness of its edges. The most demanding part is the painting and the decals: spray a gloss varnish under the decals, use a decal softener once it has dried and finally unify the surface with a matte or semi-gloss varnish. Choose very discreet emphasis of the lines; a pronounced wash would look unnatural in 1:144.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
