A holder from the modular ZEP bench system from AK interactive. It takes rolls of masking tape of various widths and keeps them together in one place. A blade is included, against which you cut the tape, so that your other hand stays free for the model or the tweezers.
Why it pays off when masking
When masking a canopy, camouflage transitions or straight edges, the tapes change every few centimeters and you reach for the roll dozens of times in a session. Rolls lying loose roll away, pick up dust and the end of the tape has to be hunted for. When a roll has a fixed place and the cut end stays accessible, the work flows and the mask holds cleanly.
For modelers who mask with an airbrush and regularly work with several widths of tape at once - that is above all for builders of aircraft and vehicles with divided camouflage. It is also useful for figure painters and car builders, where glass and chrome get masked. Because it is a module of a building-block system, it can be obtained on its own and further parts added to it gradually as your workstation grows.
Masking tapes are not included in the package. Handle the blade with care and keep the holder out of the reach of children.
