An acrylic paint from the Dual Exo range by AK interactive. The shade is called Power Yellow, so it is a yellow tone, and it dries to a satin semi-gloss. There is 60 ml in the container.

Spraying with an airbrush

Acrylic paints go on well with an airbrush, and the reward for patience is a smooth surface with no grain. A proven procedure: mix the paint thoroughly first, set a lower pressure, hold the gun at a constant distance and make several light misting passes rather than one wet one. Yellow shades in general are among those it pays to build up gradually, because light tones over a dark base need more coats than dark ones over a light base. A light base under the paint therefore helps. Flush the gun out as soon as you finish working, as dried acrylic is far harder to remove from a nozzle than fresh paint.

Use

• Mix the paint again before filling the cup and during the work.
• Spray in thin coats and let the surface set between them.
• A light base coat will help to even the shade out faster.
• Clean the airbrush immediately after spraying with a product made for acrylic paints.
• Apply the paint with a brush in short strokes and do not go back into a coat that has set.
