Dual Exo Set 6, 6A Oxide Red and 6B Propeller Fire

The Dual Exo range from AK interactive is acrylic and the shades in it form pairs marked with the letters A and B. Set number 6 brings the pair Oxide Red and Propeller Fire together. Paints of the same names are also made individually, in the acrylic range with a satin finish, so the resulting coat is semi-gloss and looks silky, neither flat nor sharply glossy.

The names of the shades in the Dual Exo range mix descriptive terms with fanciful ones. With the first of the pair the color family is legible from the name, with the second it is not; check its tone against the manufacturer's color chart on the packaging. A pair from the same set works well the moment one tone forms the base area and the other is used for bringing out edges, for accents or for transitions. A satin finish is at the same time a suitable base under decals, as no silvery veil forms under them on a smoother coat.

Use

• An acrylic paint for plastic, resin and 3D printed parts, preferably on a degreased and primed surface.
• It is applied with a brush as well as an airbrush in several thin coats, which are left to dry.
• A pair from one set can be used together, one shade for the area, the other for accents.
• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment sinks to the bottom when standing.
• A satin coat stands up to later weathering and to unification with a matte or a gloss varnish.

The shades of the Dual Exo range can be combined with each other, so the set complements a palette already in progress.
