Colored 3D interior elements for the German Mercedes-Benz L1500A truck in 1:35 scale, prepared for the ICM kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mercedes-Benz L1500A is a German light truck used during the Second World War. The letter A in the designation refers to all-wheel drive, which set it apart from the version with only the rear axle driven. The truck served in many forms, from a flatbed to closed bodies, and its cab is usually well open to view on a model.
Colored 3D elements of the cab interior. The instrument panel, the controls and the upholstered surfaces are printed in relief and painted, dials included, so there is no need to pick out tiny details with a brush.
The elements have no adhesive layer of their own. Cut the part out, leave it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the backing paper into place. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as they would attack the printed resin. Transfer the element into place with tweezers and press it down with a soft tool from the center outward. Degrease the surface beforehand and coat it with gloss varnish; on a rough matte finish the element does not hold reliably, and on an uneven spot a drop of super glue helps. Finish the cab and let it dry before you apply the elements.
For modelers who are bothered by an empty cab under clear windows, and for builders of dioramas where the truck is seen close up. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
