This item is a detail accessory in resin, not a model of an aircraft. It replaces the landing gear wheels on a model of the Airbus A319 airliner in 1:144 scale. On civil models this small thing has an unexpectedly large effect: an aircraft spends most of its time on the ground, a model is displayed on a base and seen from the side the landing gear is the only part that touches the surface. A wheel from a plastic kit in 1:144 scale tends to be simplified, with the hub merely suggested and with no recognizable tread - and that is exactly why the set exists.
The Airbus A319 is the shortened version of the narrow-body airliner of the A320 family. It has two engines slung under the wing, a nose gear and a pair of main landing gear legs retracting into the fuselage. A shorter fuselage with the wingspan unchanged is characteristic of the type and shows on a model too, where it looks more compact than the longer variants of the same family. The particular form of the wheels and the hubs can differ between individual aircraft and operators, so it pays to compare the castings with photographs of the machine you are building.
Wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water so that the release agent from the mold disappears. Cut small parts off the casting block with a saw over a support or over a dish, otherwise they easily vanish at this scale. Level the mating surface by sanding wet on a flat support - on a four-wheel bogie a small deviation is enough for the model to rock in a display case. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the tire dark gray, not black; in 1:144 scale it matters especially that the edge between the hub and the rubber stays visible. The hub is best managed with a fine-tipped brush once the tire is dry. At the end dust the landing gear legs and the bottom of the wheels lightly with a light pigment - that visually settles the model onto the ground.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
