A sheet 1:144 for the Belgian training Alpha Jet with the number AT26 in the display coloring it performed with between 2001 and 2003.

Solo performances are not the privilege of combat aircraft alone. The Belgian Air Force also sent its two-seat jet training type to air days, and in the years 2001 to 2003 this task was carried out by the example with the number AT26. The smaller and slower machine had one advantage over the fighters: it was able to keep closer to the spectators and its sequence could be watched whole, without waiting for it to return from a long arc over the horizon.
The coloring came about in the last years when the Belgian Alpha Jets had their home base on their own territory. In 2004 the advanced training of pilots moved to France and the machines with it, so this display coat belongs to the last chapter of their domestic activity. Models at this size therefore often complete collections devoted to the turn of the millennium.
Three seasons in one coat is above average with display aircraft. It can be explained by the fact that training machines tend to have a calmer schedule of use than combat units, so there is no need to repaint them back into their standard form every year for maintenance or deployment.
The print includes the motif from the fuselage and the tail surfaces and the accompanying lettering. The layout corresponds to the shapes of the two-seat airframe, which has differently routed transitions at the cabin and a different distribution of the decoration than the fighters.
The cabin glazing is long on this type and the elements routed around it need precise alignment. It pays to lay them first, while the surrounding area is free, and to align the rest by them.
