A kit of a model of the Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicle in Ukrainian service in 1:144 scale, a small model for a shelf beside airliners.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Bayraktar TB2 is a Turkish unmanned aircraft meant for long patrol flights and for carrying light guided armament. The design is unusual for modelers and interesting precisely for that: a slender fuselage, a pair of tail booms joined by surfaces forming an inverted letter V, and a piston engine with a pusher propeller at the rear. Ukraine was among its best-known users and the footage from its camera went around the world.
The real subject has a span of twelve meters, so the finished model works out at about eight centimeters across the wings. The small scale suits it, because a collection in a uniform 1:144 shows the proportion of sizes between an unmanned machine and ordinary aircraft well. The build will not take many evenings, so it is a suitable piece as a rest between more demanding projects too.
Lay the small parts out on a light surface before gluing, as they are easily lost. Wash and degrease the surface before painting. Assemble the booms and tail surfaces on a flat base and keep checking that the wings and the tail are in the same plane. Apply the paint in thin layers; in this scale a heavy layer floods every detail. Fit the propeller and the other projecting parts only at the very close, otherwise you will almost certainly break them off while handling the model.
The model is supplied unassembled. Paints, glue and other building material are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
