An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet Beriev Be-12 amphibious aircraft in the P version, in the small 1:144 scale. The model from Amodel is short-run in character and contains a clear glazing part and fine photo-etched parts. It is supplied to be glued and painted.
The Beriev Be-12 Chayka is an amphibious aircraft with a characteristic gull wing and a pair of turboprop engines. It was originally created as a naval patrol and anti-submarine machine, and thanks to its flying boat design it could operate from water and from land alike. Later special-purpose modifications for specialized tasks also grew from this proven airframe.
First finish and paint the cockpit, and only then close up the hull of the flying boat. Place the photo-etched parts with tweezers and super glue. Clean off the flash of the short-run mold and dry-fit the parts. A primer is recommended; apply the paints with an airbrush. On the underside of the hull expect smooth surfaces that reveal every irregularity, so sand them carefully.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
