An injection-molded plastic kit of the carrier version of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 in 1:144 scale, the manufacturer's part number AR14309. According to the manufacturer, the Ukrainian brand Armory adds clear parts, a photo-etched fret, decals, a color scheme and step-by-step instructions to the sprues.
The Bf 109T was created for the aircraft carrier Graf Zeppelin. The T-1 version was given an arrestor hook and catapult attachment points, the span grew to 11.08 m and the ailerons and the leading-edge slats were lengthened. Of the seventy machines planned only seven were built as T-1 and the remaining 63 were completed as T-2 without carrier equipment. The short take-off and landing capability then came in useful in Norway, where I./JG 77 flew them, and from 1943 with Jagdstaffel Helgoland, redesignated 11./JG 11. They stayed in service until the summer of 1944.
In 1:144 scale the cleanliness of the seams and a thin coat of paint decide the result — an airbrush is a better choice here than a brush. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue and the plastic with thin cement for polystyrene. Put gloss clear coat under the decals, an uneven surface would silver.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
