A pair of bicycles as an accessory for a diorama in 1:72 scale. A small thing that gives a scene scale and everyday life.
Responsibility details are not available.
Two bicycles as a standalone accessory for a scene in 1:72 scale. It is not a part for a particular model or a kit of a machine but a prop that you place on a diorama as you see fit. A bicycle is one of the most rewarding small elements there is: a viewer judges its size without thinking, so it gives a scene scale at once, and at the same time it reveals that people came through here.
Leaning against the wall of a house, against a fence or against the side of a vehicle, the bicycles look as if someone had just put them down. Dropped on the ground by the side of a road they suggest instead that there was a hurry here. They come in handy at rural and urban buildings, at a railroad station, by a field kitchen and alongside a column on a road, and they work just as well in a civilian scene as in a military subject, because for most of the twentieth century a bicycle was a quite ordinary means of transport.
The parts are small and slender, so work with tweezers over a surface with a raised edge so that nothing flies off. Cut excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder carefully. Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap and let them dry perfectly. Apply the paint in thin coats, as a heavy coat on shapes this fine floods both the frame and the spokes. Bring the frame out with a glossier shade and the metal parts with a dark metal, and a final layer of dust then settles the bicycle into the surrounding terrain.
Figures, a model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
