Boeing 777-300 high-lift flaps 1:144 is a resin accessory that on a model of the wide-body airliner replaces the smooth trailing edge with extended devices. Intended for the Zvezda kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Cast resin parts in 1:144 scale for a model of the Boeing 777-300 from the Zvezda kit. It is not a kit of the aircraft but a set that replaces part of the wing so that the flaps look extended into the landing position. On a wide-body airliner this is the greatest change of silhouette of all such modifications, because the spread of the devices here is proportionate to the span.
The Boeing 777-300 is the stretched standard of the twin-engine wide-body airliner. The combination of a long fuselage and a large wing means that the model takes up a lot of room in a display case and that every detail on the trailing edge is clearly visible. Extended flaps reveal the tracks of the devices and the gaps between the individual sections, that is features that a kit in the cruise configuration does not have at all.
With a large span it pays to work in sections: run the cut gradually, check the fit after every stretch and only then continue. Longer resin parts tend to be slightly bowed after casting; they can be straightened with a brief dip in warm water and cooling in a flat position. Wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent in advance. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue and support the parts while they set so that the same angle of extension is kept on both sides. Fill the gaps with putty and even the surface out with primer, as resin and plastic otherwise take the clear coat differently.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
