Valom 1:144 Bristol Scout D vs Pfalz D.IIIa is an injection-molded plastic kit that brings two aerial opponents of the First World War together in one package.
Responsibility details are not available.
This double set in the small 1:144 scale by the Czech manufacturer Valom combines the British Bristol Scout D and the German Pfalz D.IIIa. The series of duels of the First World War makes it possible to build both sides of a historical air encounter and to display them facing each other. It is a classic injection-molded plastic kit with decal schemes.
The Bristol Scout D was a British single-seat biplane that served as a fast reconnaissance machine and as one of the first British fighters of the early phase of the war. The Pfalz D.IIIa was a German fighter biplane with an elegant semi-monocoque fuselage, used on the Western Front in the later part of the conflict. Both types represent the development of fighter aviation between 1915 and 1918 well.
A small scale puts the emphasis on clean joints and delicate gluing. Thin cement for plastic, careful cleaning up of the parting lines and airbrush painting with subsequent highlighting of the wing ribbing all work well. The bracing wires between the wings, that is the rigging, can be suggested with fine thread or stretched sprue. Apply the decals over a smooth gloss varnish so that no silvered edges appear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
