An injection-molded plastic kit of the American C-7B Caribou tactical transport aircraft in 1:144 scale from the Ukrainian maker Amodel. This is a short-run set with clear parts and decals. The lower demands in the number of parts are balanced by the more careful preparation and fitting typical of this technology.
The C-7B Caribou (originally the DHC-4 from De Havilland Canada) was a twin-engine high-wing aircraft famous for its ability to take off and land in a short distance from unpaved surfaces. It proved itself as a supply aircraft at forward bases, among other places in Southeast Asia, where it carried cargo and soldiers to short and improvised strips.
With a short-run set we recommend starting with a dry fit of the parts and cleaning up the flash and the traces of the mold. Glue with a thin glue for plastic and fill the seams with filler. Apply a primer before painting and use an airbrush. Glue the small clear parts with cyanoacrylate glue.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
