This injection-molded plastic kit of a short- and medium-haul airliner captures the DC-9 series 30 in the popular collector scale of 1:144. It is a short-run kit accompanied by decals for a scheme in the colors of a British carrier. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Douglas DC-9 was a twin-engined jet airliner with the engines on the rear fuselage and a T-tail. The series 30 was one of the most widespread versions and offered a stretched fuselage and higher capacity. The type became the backbone of regional and domestic services at a number of airlines worldwide.
With short-run kits expect to clean the parts up carefully, check the fit and possibly fill the fuselage joins. Glue the parts with thin liquid cement for plastic. The gloss of airline colors comes out best after a primer and a smooth clear coat; apply the decals onto a gloss surface so that no silvering appears at the edges.
