1:144 F-16 Ladder from Rise144models is a resin access ladder for an F-16 model in 1:144 scale. It is an accessory for a diorama or for a model with an open cockpit, not a kit of an aircraft.

The accessory represents the boarding ladder by which a pilot climbs into the cockpit of an F-16. It is not a model of an aircraft but a small resin part that completes the scene around a parked machine. A model with the canopy raised and a ladder hooked on suddenly tells a story: it looks like an aircraft on the flight line before takeoff rather than a museum exhibit on a base.
The F-16 has no built-in retractable step, and so on the ground a portable ladder is hooked onto the left side of the fuselage below the cockpit. It is part of a squadron's standard ground equipment and in photographs of machines on the flight line it is there almost every time. Its shape is distinctive: a narrow structure with several steps and hooks that catch on the edge of the fuselage. For dioramas it is one of those accessories that take little room and add a great deal of credibility.
In 1:144 scale the ladder really is tiny and its rungs are among the thinnest parts you will work with in modeling. Cut it from the casting block with a sharp new knife or a fine-toothed saw and never bend the part, as resin is brittle and the rungs break. It needs practically no sanding; leveling the place where the gate was is enough. Wash it before painting and apply a thin primer. The painting can be managed with a brush, best of all while it is still on the block; a darker base shade, a fine edge highlight with a dry brush and discreet traces of wear on the steps all suit it. It is bonded with super glue applied with the tip of a toothpick, ideally after a dry test on the side of the fuselage.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
