The injection-molded plastic kit Me P.1101 vs. FW Ta 183 in 1:144 scale from Valom, a pair of experimental jet projects in one package.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit from the Czech maker Valom, which brings together in one package two experimental German jet projects from the end of the Second World War, the Messerschmitt P.1101 and the Focke-Wulf Ta 183, in 1:144 scale. The package holds several complete kits of both types and additional photo-etched parts, so you will build several small models at once. It is a typical short-run kit, where the fine detail is a pleasure but a little more modeling care is needed.
Both machines belong to the category of the so-called Luftwaffe 46, that is German aircraft projects that did not reach series production by the end of the war. The Messerschmitt P.1101 was an experimental fighter with a swept wing whose sweep angle was adjustable, and it became an inspiration for postwar development. The Focke-Wulf Ta 183 was a jet fighter project with a tall vertical fin whose concept influenced later fighters. Both of them therefore represent bold designs that were not realized in their day.
This is a short-run kit, so clean the flash and the sprue nubs off the parts before gluing and try the joints dry. Use liquid cement for plastic and glue the small photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a primer on before painting and apply the paints with an airbrush; small models will appreciate restrained shading and fine markings. Patience pays off with this type.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
