1:144 P-38 wheels and propellers is a resin accessory set for a model of the twin-boom P-38 Lightning fighter in 1:144 scale, an accessory to the Fujimi kit rather than the model itself.

The set brings together two features on which detail is lost fastest in injected plastic: the landing gear wheels and the propellers. Castings in modeling resin hold a sharper shape on the blades and more relief on the hub, and they are cut for the Fujimi kit. They are made by Brengun of the Czech Republic. The aircraft model is not included in the package.
The Lockheed P-38 Lightning was a twin-engine fighter with an unusual twin-boom layout, the cockpit in a short central nacelle and a nose landing gear. It carries two propellers that turn in opposite directions, so the blades are not interchangeable between the left and right sides; with a set of resin propellers it is therefore important to get the assignment right. The landing gear has three wheels and retracts in flight into the booms and the central nacelle.
Propeller blades on resin parts are thin and relatively fragile: cut them off the casting block rather than snapping them off, and support them with a finger while sanding. Wash the mold release agent off the wheels and the propellers before painting and cover them with primer. The propellers are fitted at the very end of the build, otherwise they get knocked during handling. If you want to keep them able to turn, leave the pin free and secure it after fitting with a drop of super glue on the back of the hub. For a convincing stance, sand the contact surfaces of the wheels so that all three stand at once.
The accessory set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
