A decal sheet in 1:144 scale with the national insignia of the Royal Australian Air Force, made in several sizes.
Responsibility details are not available.
The national insignia of the Royal Australian Air Force in 1:144 scale. The insignia are on the sheet in several sizes, so with one sheet you cover machines of various dimensions as well as various positions on the airframe; the insignia on the wing tends to be larger than the one on the fuselage. The exact list of sizes, their number and the layout are given by the manufacturer on the box and in the instructions with the sheet.
In 1:144 scale a national insignia measures only a few millimeters and drawing it by hand is practically impossible. The sheet therefore serves where the decals in a kit are missing, where they have yellowed or been damaged, and also where you are building a machine the kit manufacturer did not offer among its variants. The Royal Australian Air Force flew machines of British as well as American manufacture, so the insignia prove themselves on a wide group of models from fighters to transports.
Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is not a self-adhesive version: a soaked self-adhesive film is ruined, whereas a waterslide decal that has not been soaked can be soaked later. On an ordinary waterslide sheet, cut the element out close to the artwork, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it stand until the carrier film releases from the backing. Then slide it onto a smooth, glossy and degreased surface, press the water out from under it and let it dry thoroughly. On a broken-up surface a softener helps.
The model, paints, varnish and softener are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
