The Zvezda 1:144 plastic kit of the A-50 long-range radar surveillance aircraft captures the large Russian airborne early warning and control aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit from the manufacturer Zvezda in 1:144 scale. The subject is the Russian long-range radar surveillance aircraft A-50, that is, an airborne early warning and control aircraft (AEW&C) with a large rotating radar dish above the fuselage. The package holds plastic parts for the fuselage, the wings, the engine nacelles and the characteristic radar, to be assembled and painted.
The A-50 is a large early warning aircraft built on the basis of a four-engined transport and cargo machine. Above the fuselage it carries a large rotating radar dish, which serves to find and track air targets at long range and to control friendly aircraft. The 1:144 scale makes it possible to build this bulky aircraft at a reasonable size for a display case.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and sand the long fuselage joints down carefully. Assemble the radar dish and its supports precisely, as it is the striking recognition feature. Spray the aircraft with an airbrush over a surfacer; light gray and white areas are usual. Finally add the decals and go over it with a satin varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
